This July, Rage Kombat will be hosting it’s inaugural grappling elimination tournament to determine its European Champion. We are currently looking for competitors to participate in this blockbuster event that will have a huge audience in attendance as well as coverage on global TV. Interested? Then read on…

Where and When?

The show is scheduled to happen on Saturday 19th July at the Greek Amphitheatre in Malta. For anyone that has already been to this Amphitheatre, then you will know that it is a very impressive venue that holds 1,000 spectators!

Who Can Participate?

Anyone that has trained in Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kudo, Sambo, Wrestling, MMA, Hapkido, Grappling, Ju-jitsu etc.

A Tournament and Supermatches?

Exactly! The Tournament will consist of four participants, which means two semi-finals and a final all happening on the same night. If we get many applications at weight ‘X’ and many applications at weight ‘Y’, then we will happily open up two Tournaments on the same night. The more the merrier!

If you don’t want to compete in the Tournaments, but still want to be involved, then we are also running many Supermatches on the night too. That means you can just compete in one bout against a suitable opponent.

What Are the Rules?

Each bout lasts 5 minutes with the primary aim being to submit your opponent. However, if no submission happens, then the winner will be whoever achieved the most throws or takedowns during the bout. For exact rules about which moves are allowed or disallowed, this will be explained in full when you make your application.

What Can I Win?

For the winner(s) of the Tournament(s); the prize will be the following:

• Title of Rage Kombat European Grappling Champion (For his weight class)
• Large Trophy
• Cash Reward
• Credit to spend at any Team Sport store in Malta
• Sports / Recovery massage at a top salon
• Great coverage in the local media

Does it Cost Money to Enter?

No! Unlike other tournaments we DON’T charge any entry fees. In fact, we will actually give you a large commission on any tickets you sell for the event. Therefore, the more supporters you bring, the more money you will make (whether you win or lose your match!).
